1. Tell us about YOU; who are you, where do you live and what do you do?
Tyra Magee now Newsham. I have 2 small children aged 4 and 8 and live in a small working class town not far from the Lake District. I work as a quality inspector and my partner is a commissioning engineer.
2. When and where did you get married?
5th June 2024 - in Las Vegas at the Little White Wedding Chapel.
3. Tell us about your wedding? Did you have a theme, what was the vibe, how did you choose the aesthetic?
In all honesty, we didn't have a theme. I 100% wanted Christopher in black and white dicki bow. I also knew I wanted a short dress especially for the vegas heat. I am so glad that I went with that because therewas a heat wave when we were there.
4. What did you wear? Give us all the details?
My dress was from Self Portrait, veil from Gigi & Olive (this heart trim veil!) and shoes were River Island. I really wanted a heel, but knowing the amount of walking in Vegas I had to go with comfort. Christopher's whole outfit was from Next.
We didn't want to spend crazily on our outfits we just wanted to elope and get married. Wedding perfume was Burberry signatures hawthorn bloom - Stunning.. Chris's was YSL myslf.
5. What was the highlight of the day?
Apart from marrying my best friend... the best part of the day was when my 2 sisters and best friend came to my room at Caesar's Palace. The view was stunning whilst I was having a full glam done by Glammed Up Vegas. Soaking the morning up thinking about the day ahead. It was a surreal moment.
6. What was the most expensive part of your wedding and was it worth it?
Definitely the photographs. 100% worth it.
7. What was your best budget purchase?
Our wedding rings - we got them in the January sales.
8. What are your 3 top tips to other brides/couples starting to plan their wedding?
1. Do what you want to do -don't try to people please. You will only feel resentful. 2. Try and take in the little moments together - it goes by so fast✨️ 3. Create a Pinterest board for inspo :)
9. Did you have bridesmaids ?
No - I did ask my sisters but then decided it was going to be Las Vegas elopement ... I got them little baskets filled with skincare and goodies and attached a cute old photo so they felt part of it all. However, one of my sisters did surprise me and I bawled my eyes out at San Carlos airport lounge when I saw her. My other sister also came along having done route 66 with her partner. So iin the endI had them there with me!
10. When was your Bachelorette? What did you do?
The Bachelorette was at Lake Windermere and we all went cowgirl themed which was fab. We rented a karaoke booth and line danced the night away.
Any last comments?
Our wedding was very much no frills and that's exactly how we wanted it to be 😊
